Since 2009 napafilms has worked in creative filmmaking, telling stories in different formats and platforms. Our films have travelled around the globe and won many prestigious awards. We enjoy working with new and old friends around the World, thus majority of our productions are international co-productions.

Liisa Karpo
Liisa Karpo (former Juntunen) established napafilms in 2009. Liisa has taken part in several international training workshops such as: EAVE 2016, Eurodoc 2010, Interdoc, HistoryDoc, B’EST (by Eave), DocInkubator and others.
She has established substantial networks around the world. Her love for the {endless} work comes from working on international projects, topics and productions.

Marianne Mäkelä
Marianne Mäkelä is a producer specializing in creative documentaries. Mäkelä has been working with documentary film for several years in different roles of production in many
successful documentaries.
She has gained experience of international Co-Productions and of the national financing,
distribution and the European Union’s slate funding.

Maria Leskinen
Maria is working as a production manager at napafilms.
Maria has extensive experience working at the production department and the international department at the Finnish Film Foundation. Currently she is completing her Film and TV research studies (MA) at the University of Helsinki. Maria has experience from working as a freelancer at film productions and film festival distribution.
